Little Slice of Heaven

Me and my daddy snugglin' in the camper this morning! And me hanging out in the camper after we all got up and got dressed!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY FRIEND MISS MICHELLE! Her birthday was yesterday, Friday, April 24th and to celebrate, the Stafford family asked us to go camping at Bonny State Park earlier in the week. At that point, the weather forecast called for 80 degree weather all weekeend. Needless to say, no such luck! A cold front came through so our weekend long campin' trip was cut short. We came on in at lunchtime today (Saturday) because the high today is only 45! BRR! BUT my mommy, daddy and I went last night and had a blast. This marks my first camping trip and I LOVED IT! I love being outdoors and I was truly fascinated by the campfire! My mommy hopes that it just because it is something new and not because I have a love for fire ALREADY! We all know that my daddy loved fire when he was little and caused some chaos with that love for fire, LOL! We took the Bell camper out and we had heat and water and electricity and everything anyone could need (especially the ability to watch ELMO on TV). My daddy took out the dining table and my pack-n-play fit in that space perfect. I slept well and we didn't get cold! It was awesome! I definitely thing I would like to go camping many, many more times this Spring and Summer! It would just be nice if the weather would cooperate for once!

Great Grandma Reynolds Teaches Gus To Sit!

Hello everyone! Check out my new trick that I started doing at Great-Grandma Reynolds' house! Sitting up on my own! Yippee! I'm still working on the logistics and balance of it all but I can sit unassisted now for more than 1/2 a second at a time. I can even play with toys! Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

Here Comes Peter Cottontail...

Here I am with my Uncle MOOSE at Easter dinner!
This is me with my Uncle Moose and cousins Kylie and Kolby. I'm sure we are having quite the conversation!

I really enjoyed my cousins Kolby and Kylie. I enjoyed Kolby so much that I even let him hold me!

Happy Easter everyone! I had a fun, eventful weekend myself. My Uncle Jason (aka MOOSE) and cousins Kolby and Kylie came to visit and we had a lot of fun! Grandma and Grandpa Gardner took us to Pizza Hut on Saturday (I had to settle for blueberries, pears and oatmeal) for lunch and then we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house and watched a slideshow of their trip to Texas! Looks like they had a great time and got to visit some very interesting places! After that, my mommy and daddy took me home for a nap. We were supposed to go to Park Hill for supper on Saturday night but my daddy didn't feel so hot and it was SUPER WINDY so we decided to stay in for the evening! Then on Easter Sunday, the strangest thing happened. I had a basket from something called the "Easter Bunny!" I have no idea what my mommy is talking about and what this strange "bunny" is all about but supposedly when I get bigger, there will be sweet treats in this basket! LOL! After we got dressed, we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Gardner's to visit with Jason, Kolby and Kylie and then we went with Great-Grandma Ruth, Grandma and Grandpa Gardner, Jason and the kids to eat Easter dinner at Captain Hook's Fine Dining! Again, I had to settle for sweet potatoes. No chicken, ham or roast beef for me! :( And again, supposedly next year I can have all that yummy stuff! After the Easter festivities, mommy, daddy and I went home and had a relaxing day hanging around the house!
Other eventful things happening in my life include, my SIX MONTH well-baby visit last week. I am technically 7 months old but my 6 month appointment was delayed a little bit due to illness in the community. My mommy didn't want to take me to the doctor and have me exposed to mono and strep throat. YUCK! So my appointment last week went very well. The doctor gave me a clean bill of health and said I am progressing very well. I weigh in at 17 pounds 10 ounces and I am 28 inches long. I continue to love playing in my walker, still trying to figure the crawling thing out and I continue to say dad-da, da-da and make other interesting noises/sounds everyday! Once I figure it all out, my mommy says I will be a "real wild child!" :) Ha-ha...if she only knew! The other thing happening in my life....mommy and daddy are working on getting me into a daycare so I can start making new friends and being "social!" So that will be fun and exciting....and would someone tell my mommy...."I WILL BE OK and everything well be just FINE!" LOL!

My Tooth

Well...a few weeks ago my bottom, left incisor started coming in and FINALLY, after weeks of my mommy trying to get a photo of the "tooth," she did it! The tooth is finally big enough to photograph and I was finally cooperative enough to let her pull my bottom lip down to snap a pic of it! LOL! :)

Dad-Da (Sort of)

I can say Dad-da but for some reason when mommy rolls the video camera, I either won't say anything or I just say Da, Da, Da. But when Daddy is around I say Dad-da!

27 Weeks Old and Lovin' It

Hey everyone! This week I am 27 weeks old (6 months in age or almost 7 months in weeks)! I am over 6 months now and things in my world have been progressing QUICKLY! I was supposed to have my 6 month shots this week but my mommy called and cancelled because she did not want me around the clinic due to all the illnesses going around right now. Whew....escaped the dreaded shots for one more week! Now if I could just figure out how to never get one again! Hmmmm!!! Also, my two biggest accomplishments in the last week are learning to say Dad-da and I have two teeth! I have a tooth that has pushed through on the left side of the bottom, front and then I have one that is getting ready to push through on the left side, top, front! I continue to love being around people and I laugh and smile always. I'm a very happy little guy and I still LOVE watching my Elmo and Baby Einstein DVDs. The Easter Bunny visited early in Missouri and he brought me (via Grandma Chinn), a toy hammer that makes all sorts of noises (my mommy says they are annoying); a new outfit; a couple of caps; some sippy cups AND a new Baby Einstein DVD. This one is called "Baby's First Words!" It's a little more advanced than Baby Mozart so it isn't my favorite yet, but it will be in a few weeks. I also have graduated from my bouncy seat to the walker. I can manuever my way out of the bouncy seat and I would rather be standing anyway, so mommy got out the walker a few weeks ago and I LOVE IT! I jump and dance and hop and scream when I'm in it. I also like to be in the walker in the kitchen with mommy while she cooks because then I am MOBILE! YAHOO! And mommy and daddy say it is only a matter of time before I am crawling. But they don't think I will crawl very long because walking is just so much more fun. Well that's what is new in my world...oh yeah, and if you are from Saint Francis, don't forget to vote this upcoming Tuesday....my daddy's still in the running for Saint Francis City Council!

Pics of Mine and My Mommy's Fun in the BIG MO!

This picture is of my mommy's best friend and college roommate Ashley. The boy is Ashley's "friend" Jim!

The pic to the left is of me and my Grandpa Chinn playing at his house. The above picture is of my mommy's friend and old roommate Stephanie and her baby girl (1 y/o) Maggie!

Top 'O The Mornin' To Ya

Happy Be-lated Saint Patty's Day to everyone! Sorry it is a few days behind. We went to Missouri and my mommy didn't upload anything new to my blog before she left! :(
