Happy Memorial Day Weekend

GusGus at 8 months old...notice his hair...yes, he's had his first "trim!" Not a "real" haircut but his bangs were trimmed by his mommy last Sunday (May 17th, 2009) b/c they were in his eyes and getting stuck in his runny nose...YUCKY!
Gus and mommy relaxing on the front porch on Sunday, May 24th, 2009!

Gus' friend Joel (he is 9 and 1/2 months old)!

Gus and his Auntie Nuggies smilin' for the camera! CHEESE!

Uncle Troy, Cousin Julianna and Gus enjoying Memorial Day weekend on the front porch!

Greetings everyone! Sorry it has been a long while since I have uploaded new pics and updated you on the happenings in my life and my mommy and daddy's lives! Hope everyone had a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend. I know we sure had an eventful, fun one. Friday night the Padgett's came over with my friend Mahra to visit. Saturday we left for Kearney, NE with our friends The Stafford's (Mike, Michelle, Hannah and Christina) and we had a blast shopping, relaxing and eating! Then on Sunday, Uncle Troy and Cousin Julianna and my Auntie Nuggies (aka Ashley Angle) all came out to visit. Auntie Nuggies left his morning (May 27th, 2009) and headed back to Missouri. It was very nice to meet her and very nice for my mommy to have a best friend in town. My mommy really enjoyed it! And so did I...that Auntie Nuggies is CRAZY! I've made a new best friend....my cousin Julianna. We have a super time when we hang out together and always have time to play (I only wish I could figure out how to walk so I could chase her around)! One of these days....
Also exciting, on Saturday, May 23rd, 2009, I celebrated my 8th month of life. Boy am I learning new things everyday. I continue to go to daycare 3 days a week so Grandpa and Grandma Gardner can enjoy their camper and then 2 days a week I go to Grandma and Grandpa Gardner's to enjoy time with them! I'm progressing more and more everyday and although I've had a bump on the head and a cat scratch at daycare, I still enjoy that very much! I love being around other kids and adults now. Mommy thinks daycare has really helped with my social anxiety! Not to mention freeing up Grandpa and Grandma Gardner's schedule so they can enjoy camping season!
I've also started eating more "table" foods and mommy thinks I'm ready to make the leap to 3rd stage baby foods and a lot of table foods and probably juices! YAHOO! I love the freeze dried yogurt bites, cheerios, green beans, cookies (lol) and mashed potatoes! But that's what has been happening in my neck of the woods. Hope everyone is having a wonderful time like I am and hope this finds everyone well and happy! We miss those Missouri people terribly and can't wait for Grandma and Grandpa Chinn to come visit again SOON (hopefully)!

"I'm A Big Kid Now"

I started crawling this weekend, but I am now officially a pro! I can zip around the house crawling like nobody's business (especially if I see something that I know I am not supposed to have)! :) And my mom thought it was rough when I was a newborn! HA HA HA!

"Off the Front Porch, Just a Swingin'!"

Hey everybody! Hope everyone had a nice week last week! I know I sure did. Things in my world are on the move and going FAST! My mommy took me to the park and we went swingin'! I LOVE TO SWING! As you can see by the picture! I think it is hilarious when I go way up high in the swing!

This Tuesday, I will be 32 weeks old (yes, that's 8 months in weeks)! And I am learning and doing new things all the time! One of my newest AND biggest tricks to date....CRAWLING. That's right, I said it, I'm crawling now. I'm really fast and good at it on mommy and daddy's bed but I've now figured out how to crawl in the living room as well. I'm also very fast in my walker chair too! And have figured out how to manuever my way around the downstairs. WATCH OUT WORLD!

Chips A-Hoy

On Sunday, my mommy and I baked chocolate chip cookies while daddy was at work. Mommy decided that she could not eat a cookie without giving me a few little bites too! And boy, let me tell you, those cookies were YUMMY! She gave me a little bite and I squealed with joy. And then, she moved away from me and so I chased her across the kitchen so I could sucker her into giving me some more of that yummy goodness! She even took this picture showing the delicious, chocolatey proof to daddy!
