I *HEART* Bridgett, Bryant & Breanna Gibbons

After we got to MO, we went to down to The Gibbons' to visit only to find out they had gotten me a gift! YAHOO! I'm lovin' all these gifts and getting to rip them open! If only mommy would "allow" me to rip paper throughout the entire year!
Bridgett and Breanna had a lot of fun watching me rip open my gift!
Bryan and I are supervising my daddy and telling him how the batteries go in my new toy!

"See dad, the batteries go like this!"
Ahhhh....my new toy, a V-Tech Helicopter! It is awesome, I love it! Thank you to The Gibbons'!

Breanna and I stop playing for a minute to pose for a picture!

On Tuesday, December 29th, 2009, Bridgett and Breanna came out to Ma-Pa's house to play with me. They are out of school on Christmas Break and were bored. Bryant was with his friend Kirby so he didn't get to come. :( Maybe next time!
Bridgett, Breann and I stop having fun to take ANOTHER picture! But it did turn out nice!

Breanna, Bridgett and I had a lot of fun playing/jumping on Ma-Pa & Grandpa Chinn's bed.

My mommy says this is the face I make when I am "fake" crying when I want something. I don't know what she is talking about....I wouldn't do such things! She has lost her mind. If I am crying it is because I need her (hehehehehehe)!

This is another face I make when I want something....it is my "irresistable pose!" Mommy says I am the most handsome boy she has ever seen! I may have to agree with her (kidding)!

Bridgett and I wrestling on the bed. She is so much fun! What a perfect babysitter she would make. She lets me get-away with or do anything I want!

Grubb Family Christmas 2009

We were able to attend the Grubb Family Christmas again this year (it's now officially my 2nd one). It was held at my Great-Uncle Tim and Great-Aunt Debbie's house in Shelbyville, MO on the evening of Sunday, December 27th, 2009. We had a lot of fun and it sounds like 2010 is going to be a great year for the various Grubb families! My Great-Aunt Brenda Mettes is getting married to her fiance Michael in June. My cousin Erinn Still is newly engaged to Nathan Stevenson and they are expecting a baby in Juen. My cousin Carrie Beth Christoffer is engaged to Martin Buckman and they are thinking of getting married on July 3rd! What an exciting year ahead for them! CONRATS!
My daddy and I at the Grubb Family Christmas 2009! A good time had by all! This year in attendance were: Great-Grandpa & Great-Grandma Grubb; Ma-Pa & Grandpa Chinn; Uncle Jeremy & Aunt Samantha Chinn; Great-Aunt Brenda Mettes & her new fiance Michael and his son Gage; cousin Carrie Beth Christoffer and her son, 2nd cousin Austin Fifer & her new fiance Martin Buckman and his son Dalton; cousin Erinn Still & 2nd cousins Taylor & Tanner Still and Erinn's new fiance Nathan Stevenson; Great-Uncle Tim and Great-Aunt Debbie Gibbons & second cousins Bridgett, Bryant & Breanna Gibbons and Mr. Smallwood.
Here I am with my second cousins (from l to r): Bryant, Breanna and Bridgett Gibbons. They belong to Great-Uncle Tim & Great-Aunt Debbie Gibbons!
This is my second cousin Taylor Still. She is fantastic!
This is my cousin Erinn Still's new fiance Nathan Stevenson. Erinn and Nathan are expecting their first baby (and another second cousin for me) in June! How exciting. Congrats on the baby and the engagement Erinn and Nathan! Welcome to "the fam" Nathan!
Here I am with my cousin Erinn Still and her son (my second cousin) Tanner Still! Erinn is pregnant and due in June!
Bridgett and I had a lot of fun together. If we lived in MO, I told my mommy that I want Bridgett and Breanna Gibbons to be my babysitters (they are my second cousins)!

My mommy recorded this video of Bridgett and I having a lot of fun together at the Grubb Family Christmas on Sunday, December 27th, 2009!

Christmas At Ma-Pa and Grandpa Chinn's House in Missouri

Right after we arrived in Missouri, I sat on Grandpa Chinn's lap and schooled him at "Jump A Peg!" I tried to show him that it was too easy!
Ma-Pa Chinn was sure happy to see me! She let me sit on her lap lots and lots and she had all sorts of goodies to eat! I loved her Hershey's Peppermint Kisses! As a matter-of-fact...I ate every single one of them before we left!

Christmas morning at Ma-Pa and Grandpa Chinn's house (Sunday, December 27th, 2009). Ma-Pa took me with her to look behind this door. I just figured she had lost her mind. But her excitement made me curious.....and of course, curiosity got the best of me so I indulged her. And boy am I glad I did...
Do you know that behind that door was a shiny, new John Deer wagon with all the specs I requested!!!!! It has the wooden rails and the pneumatic tires, just like I wanted! How did she know? It was also filled with presents for me, my mommy and daddy and my Uncle Jeremy and Aunt Sam! Boy, oh boy, we are lucky folks!
Grandpa Chinn and I are enjoying the wagon filled with presents. Grandpa Chinn is helping me get one of my presents out of the box! Do you like our hair accessories? That mommy sure is silly! And I think she aggitates her daddy on a regular basis!
This is my Elmo Jack-n-the-box! It is super awesome! Come over and play with it sometime...it surprises me everytime!
Uncle Jeremy and Aunt Sam got me a BIG book, it's a collection of Little Golden Book classics. So fun to read! They also got me my very own bowling set, it has pins and two bowling balls. Daddy and I have already decided how much fun we are gonna have at our house with those (especially on the hardwood floors)! Shhhhhhh.....mommy doesn't know our plans! We won't tell her if you won't! Here I am playing in my wagon! It is so fun, I cannot wait until it is warm enough to go for walks and to the park riding in my new wagon instead of that stroller. Strollers are for babies! The wagon is a "MANS" ride!
Peeking over the edge to estimate how far the fall would be if I decided to jump out! Think I will wait a little bit before I attempt a feet of that proportion!
Here I am with Ma-Pa getting ready to go to the "Grubb Family Christmas" at my Great-Uncle Tim and Great-Aunt Debbie's house! I must say that Ma-Pa and I are lookin' good for the party!
Daddy, Ma-Pa and I getting ready to leave for the "Grubb Family Christmas!" So exciting!

Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho, It's Off To MO (in a blizzard) I Go!

Mommy, daddy and I headed out for Missouri later than planned. We were supposed to leave on Christmas Eve but the snow slowed us down. So on Christmas Day we decided to head out. Boy was that a LONG, SLOW day in the van. It was nearly white-out conditions through the entire state of Kansas. Good thing my daddy is an awesome driver and that no one else was as dumb as us and out and about that day! We contimplated driving all the way to Ma-Pa and Grandpa Chinn's house that night but after it took us 9 hours to get to Saint Joseph, MO we decided to call it a night/day and get a hotel room! 9 hours is what the entire drive usually takes. Saint Joseph is still another 2.5 hours from Ma-Pa and Grandpa Chinn's house. So we got a room at the Stoney Creek Inn and it was a lot of fun. After being cooped up in the van all day, I got to run around the hotel and stay up really late....definitely WAY past my bedtime and it was so much fun. By the end of the evening, I had everyone at the hotel wrapped around my little finger! SUCKERS!
Of course, anytime we stay at a hotel, daddy and I have to wrestle on the bed. So much fun to "get gettered" on the bed!
Some more of our wrestling action! I like to call this move the "tackle daddy in my grizzly bear pajamas" move! He never sees that one coming! :)
Here my daddy is holding on to my foot while I play on the bed. It didn't help this time though....I still managed to fall off the bed in our hotel room and hit my head on the nightstand. Mommy calmed me down and she said thank goodness it was bedtime anyway! So we all went to bed and got plenty of sleep for the next day and our arrival at Ma-Pa and Grandpa Chinn's house!
Disclaimer: I now call my Grandma Chinn, Ma-Pa. Whenever daddy would say, "Do you want to go see Grandma Chinn?" or "Are we at Grandma Chinn's house?," I would say "Ma-Pa!" So that's her new name!

Santa Remembered :)

Santa remembered that I requested he come on Christmas Eve morning instead of Christmas Day morning! Because mommy, daddy & I are leaving for Missouri to see Grandma & Grandpa Chinn on Christmas Day morning, I wanted him to bring my gifts early so I could have an ENTIRE day to enjoy my stuff before we had to head East.
I'm not really sure who this Santa guy is but he is amazing. He's one heck of a guy! How could he possibly know all the things I wanted/liked and then have his Elves build them in his workshop to bring to me? However it happens and whoever this Santa guy & his Elves are, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I mean....Santa knew the stuff that I wanted/like and not even my mom & dad knew that apparently! All they got me were cups with straws; socks with grips on the bottom & a reversible fleece jacket. Nothing fun like what the big man himself brought me! He brought me a Cars themed couch that flips out into a bed; a Cars themed chair; a remote controlled Cadillac Escalade; an Aquadoodle; a big Cat dump truck that makes noises and goes forward & backward and a couple little Cat machinery toys (a steamroller & a little dump truck). In my stocking Santa left a tube of mini M&M's (or num-nums); a Slinky Jr.; a pair of dinosaur slippers (when you walk the eyes light up red, super cool); a mini See'n'Say that is Sesame Street themed (and has Elmo's voice-yahoo) and a Dr. Suess set of flashcards that teach you how to learn your colors! Overall Christmas at mommy and daddy's house was a fun one! It did take us awhile to get through the gifts because after I opened each one, I had to pause the unwrapping to play with that particular gift for a few minutes before I was ready to move on!
Daddy helping me with my new remote controlled Cadillac Escalade!
Unwrapping my Cat steamroller. I had to pause while I was unwrapping it so I could push the buttons on the side to see what they do....they make awesome noises!
This may be my favorite thing that Santa brought me. I've recently discovered I like to draw things (maybe because daddy lets me take dry erase markers and draw on the kitchen floors; appliances and walls)! So Santa brought me an Aquadoodle. It is super neat....it comes with this fold out pad and a pen that you fill with water and it writes on the pad and nothing else! It's like magic!

Unwrapping presents is all fun and games until someone gets a bow on their butt! Unwrapping presents was great at first and then it literally got to be a "bow in the butt!"
"Let's see, what's next?" Gimmie, gimmie, gimmie!
This is my new Cars chair for my toy room. I usually sit in my bouncy seat from when I was a tiny baby, but I've really outgrown it so Santa thought it was time for me to have some furniture in my size for my toy room! Boy is he a bright guy!
"Don't you just LOVE it?" Christmas is so much fun! Even though I do not understand Santa Claus, I still had a blast waking up Christmas morning and feeding off mommy and daddy's excitement and then actually seeing what their excitement was all about. I ran across the living room, straight to my gifts (some wrapped and some not) and literally dug right in. Mommy and daddy thought it was fantastic that I seemed to know just what to do! I love all my gifts and I thank Santa and Mom & Dad for all the wonderful "big boy" toys and the socks and jacket!

This is me unwrapping my Aquadoodle! So fun! Mom and dad had a great time watching me unwrap my gifts and play with them this morning.
Hope this finds everyone well today! Today, my parents and I will be heading out to go East. Yep, we are going to go to Missouri to celebrate Christmas with my Grandma and Grandpa Chinn and also with my Grubb family! I'm so excited that this gift thing; good food thing and good company thing isn't over yet. And that we get to spend an extended amount of time at Grandpa and Grandma Chinn's! Yippee! This does not happen very often! As of Christmas Eve we are on vacation. Mommy is off for the next ELEVEN days. And we are going to spend it together as our little family and also with Missouri family and friends and with the Kansas/Nebraska bunch too! After we do Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Chinn and spend a few days there, we are headed to North Newton to do the Gardner family Christmas at Todd, Rhonda, Matthew, Abigail, Jacob and Levi's house (they are my aunt, uncle & cousins). So this will be a fun and eventful next few days! Hopefully the weather isn't too bad over Eastern Kansas when we get in that part of the country tomorrow! Wish us safe travels and we hope the same for anyone else traveling tomorrow! Good night!

A Christmas Visit From My Cousins, Kolby & Kylie Gardner

My cousins, Kolby & Kylie Gardner came down to stay with our Grandpa & Grandma Gardner for a few days this week! We sure had a great time playing together and I was very sad to see them go....but I know they had to get back home to Ogallala so Santa could come to visit them tonight! Kolby & Kyle, I hope you get everything on your list!
Kolby is so silly! He made me giggle a lot with this little game of "peek-a-boo!"

Kolby and Kylie are so much fun! I consider anyone a friend who will play "BLOCKS" with me! They are my favorite toy!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope everyone has a safe, happy and merry Christmas tomorrow and that Santa brings you everything you've wished for....as long as you've been a good boy or girl! ;) I know I sure have! And for your Christmas entertainment, please enjoy this video of me "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree!" ~Happy Holidays! Love, Gus~

Vroom, Vroom...

Boy, oh boy! Thanks to Grandma & Grandpa Gardner, now I'm mobile! Grandma & Grandpa got this sweet four-wheeler for me for Christmas! They are the best! Thanks Dramma and Drampa! I love you!

Christmas Snapshots and Sickness

Merry Christmas to all my loyal blog followers! There are only seven more shopping days until the big man himself, Santa, makes his appearance this year! Hope everyone is having a great time of year. My holiday season seems busier than ever but for the WRONG reasons. My daddy still isn't feeling the greatest (and they still haven't really figured out what is wrong with him). My mommy has a dislodged disk in her back which is pinching her sciatic nerve and causing all sorts of problems. She has been doing physical therapy everyday. She does something called traction everyday and then also, electro-shock therapy, throughout the day. It was getting better until this morning, which leads us to my problems. Mommy and daddy got up this morning with me to find that I had a temperature of 105 degrees. I was limp as a noodle and shaking. So they got dressed and rushed me to the ER. While in the ER I got ice packs under each arm and some sort of thing that measures blood pressure and hear rate wrapped around my big toe! The determined that I have a bad ear infection (my first one) in my right ear and also bronchial inflammation in both lungs! So I have to take a powerful antibiotic for five days and do breathing treatments for the next ten days. I do not like the breathing treatments one bit...but I guess I will tolerate them if they make me feel better than I did at 6:30am today (12-17-2009). So I had my first ER visit and my first ear infection all in the same day! WHEW! Well I hope everyone else is doing good and feeling great. I hope to be in tip-top shape by next weekend because that is when we leave to head out to Grandma and Grandpa Chinn's house in Missouri for Christmas. Oooooooo, I cannot wait to see them. I miss them terribly and I know mommy and daddy do too! We also get to stay for a week, which is longer than we have gotten to stay since March of 2009.

I also found out some news today that is SO exciting. Mommy is ecstatic! I'm going to make my debut in the Saint Francis Herald next week! Yep, my first appearance in the local newspaper. I sat on Santa's lap on November 27th, 2009, at First National Bank, after the annual Saint Francis Parade of Lights. I took such a good picture, that the nice lady at the newspaper, Karen Krien, is gonna put me on the front page of the special Christmas edition of next week's paper. I will be in full, color print article! So exciting. Mommy can't wait to give the MO folks copies of the paper and also, cut my picture out for my scrapbook. It's the little things that excite mommy! :) So that's the news of the week from this neck of the woods! Oh and the picture in this blog, is the picture that will appear in next week's paper!

Mommy and Me

There aren't too many pictures of just me and my mommy together so daddy decided to take these pictures of us!
I love goofin' around with my momma! She's so fun!

The Importance of a Healthy Smile and Minty Fresh Breath

Look at how nice my smile is! That's because my new favorite thing to is......
Brush my teeth before bedtime! First mommy helps by brushing my gums, teeth and in behind my teeth, then................

She turns the toothbrush over to me to finish the job! I really enjoy brushing my teeth with my Elmo toothbrush! So much fun! And it makes me have a pretty smile and fresh breath!
Here I am again getting my teeth brushed! I can't wait until I do not need any help from mommy and she lets me do it ALL by myself!
