Happy Mother's Day

Daddy and I played in the shop last Saturday! He was showing me how to use the carpenter's pencil that I have in my hand. Maybe one day I will follow in my daddy's footsteps and be a handyman myself! Everything daddy does is just so darn interesting! It's interesting though...my momma says that daddy teaches me too many things and that I learn how to do things too fast? I'm confused, I thought I was supposed to be learning how to do new things everyday? I just do not understand why I can't plug the floor fan on by myself and turn it on and I also do not understand why she will not let me turn the stove top or oven on by myself....I just wanna tell her "MOMMA, I-CAN-HANDLE-THIS! STOP WORRYING ABOUT IT!"
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! My daddy finally put my Little Tykes swing up in the tree in our backyard. It only took almost a year, LOL! I love it! It is so much fun, you guys should come on over and try it out!
Happy Mother's Day everyone! Last Sunday was Mother's Day so I decided to invite my Great-Nammo Roose, Nammo Gardner & Trampal Gardner over for lunch to celebrate! I fixed fried chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, corn, rolls and pie with ice cream (I did have a little help from momma)! It was really good if I do say-so myself! Nummmmmm, num!
Here I am sitting on my Nammo Gardner's lap enjoying a "few" bites of her strawberry/rhubarb pie and vanilla ice cream. She's such a nice Nammo to share with me (don't tell her but I really didn't give her much of a choice...oops, hope she doesn't figure out my sneaky trick)!
I started feeling guilty after I had ate MOST of Nammo's pie and ice cream that I decided the polite, nice thing to do would be to share with Nammo! I even "spoon fed" it to her. I think she appreciated it and forgave me for eating almost all of her ice cream!
After all that cooking and company, mommy and I were TIRED!!! So we decided to take one of our lazy Sunday afternoon naps. We both slept for THREE hours. Geez...must have needed some sleep. But I don't understand why momma was so tired....I did most of the work! ;) Hmmm......
