Lunch With Great-Grandma Ruth

Mommy, Daddy and I decided to order lunch and I thought maybe Great-Grandma Ruth would like to eat with us. So we called her up and took her order and then we loaded up and picked up lunch and took it over to her house! It was really yummy...we all enjoy Park Hill! I had lots of mommy's french fries! :) And of course, crackers from Great-Grandma! I always have a lot of fun over at her house! :)

I hope everyone is enjoying time this Labor Day weekend with family and friends! I know I'm sure having a a great time spending this long weekend with my mommy and daddy! We have had a lot of time to play together and do stuff together that we don't normally get to enjoy during the week! Today, Sunday, we all loaded up and went to Wal-Mart together because I needed to buy some more under-britches (diapers) for myself! Wouldn't want any embarassing accidents at Grandma and Grandpa Gardner's or daycare! LOL!

Movin' on up....from that BABY carseat to my TODDLER carseat. My mom bought this carseat a long time ago because I was quickly outgrowing my "newborn" seat. But with the rat-race of taking me to daycare and Grandma and Grandpa Gardner's the "newborn" seat is just an easier option because sometimes daddy takes me in the morings and his work pickup doesn't have a place to "install" a carseat! So today my daddy installed my TODDLER seat in the pickup and they put me in it to fit me for the harness! I love it so much more than that "BABY" seat. It is much more comfy and with our fast approaching Missouri trip, they wanted to get it installed and get me use to the big boy seat. I'm not technically supposed to use it until I'm one year old and weigh 20 lbs. Well I weigh 20lbs. but have 16 more days until I'm officially one year old...mom and dad say close enough! HEE-HEE!

Here is a picture of me enjoying my brand-spankin' new highchair that Ashley Angle's (mommy's first college roommate and best friend) momma, Lynne Angle, bought for me as a baby gift. I absolutely love it and it even has wheels which my parents think is super cool and very convenient! I have no idea why they say that....but the highchair is awesome!

Happy September everybody! I continue to grow and learn everyday. I'm on 19 days away from my FIRST birthday! YAHOO! Can't wait because on my birthday, September 23rd, my mom, dad and I are leaving for Missouri to go to my Uncle Jeremy and soon-to-be Aunt Sam's wedding! Congrats to the two of them! We can't wait to see all of our Missouri family...my mommy and daddy are just as excited as I am! As you can see in the picture above, I continue to play on "Stinker Island!" In this picture, I am actually saying my name, Gus! Daddy was saying my name and I repeated it and mommy just happened to be taking a picture! Yes, I do repeat almost ANYTHING adults are saying now! Hee-hee!

I Go Out Walkin'

Hello friends and family! The past few days have marked a HUGE milestone for me.....I started walking! I have been taking one or two steps for a little bit but on Friday, August 28th, 2009 (11 months and 5 days old), I officially started walking everywhere, taking ten or more steps at a time! Everyday I get better and better at this walking thing and I think it is super fun, although it makes me very, very tired by the end of the day. I was so tired on Sunday night that I went to bed at 7:30pm and didn't get up until 6am on Monday morning. WHEW! All this stuff wears a fellar out! My mommy was a little sad that I officially started walking at daycare but I am sure to show her my new tricks every day so she doesn't feel like she missed out too bad. I am also teething and looks like I'm going to get a lot of new teeth very soon....sure will be glad when that is done with....won't have to deal with my gums hurting constantly and maybe I can rook my parents into feeding me STEAK! The Happy Gardner (pun intended)

Greetings from "The Happy Gardner's!" Over the weekend I spent a lot of time with my daddy and one of the things we did was a little bit of gardening! I sure like to help my daddy work with our tomato plants (courtesy of Gam-ma and Gampa Chinn) and work with the sprinklers! Gotta keep our yard lookin' green and purdy ya know! Our garden this year consisted of peas; carrots; spinach; lettuce; green peppers; tomatoes; onions and rhubarb (Gampa Chinn started our garden for us and my daddy and I tend it together)!

Stinker Island....Vroom, Vroom

Good day everyone! What a FUN week! Grandma and Grandpa Gardner came back from camping in North Platte, NE and they brought me some new stuff! Grandma picked out what we call "Stinker Island" or a swimming pool with palm trees for an umbrella and Grandpa got me a truck that makes cool noises...vroom, vroom! I love both of them so much. Tonight, after mommy and daddy got home from work, I got in my island and didn't leave until it was time for bed!

Learnin' New Things Everyday & Tonsilitis (11 months)

This is me with my momma! She's putting down for "nigh night!" I'm not feeling so hot today...went to the doctor and she said I have tonsilitis...AGAIN! Time for another round of antibiotics...hopefully tomorrow will be a better as I've already had two doses of them today!

I have learned several new things over the past few days....here is me throwing the ball the "right" way according to my mommy! I sure love to play ball!

I have also learned several new words over the past few days/past week. This video is of me saying "uh-oh!" That's my new favorite word...everything is "uh-oh" now! I can also say momma, daddy, no-no, num-num (for yum-yum) and ducky (when I really want)!

Things have still been exciting around our house! Over the weekend we had Grandma & Grandpa Garnder; Great-Grandma Ruth; Uncle Troy and Cousin Julianna over for Sunday night supper. It was fun...except I was starting to get really sick. Mommy and daddy thought I was just teething but by today (Tuesday) mommy decided it was time for me to see the doctor because I was getting better, I was getting worse. So the doctor looked me over and said I have tonsilitis AGAIN! This is the second "official" time that I have had tonsilitis in four months. There was another time that the doctor thought I was getting it from all the drainage from teething but luckily that time I fought it off and the drainage stopped before it caused an infection! So needless to say, I'm on antibiotics again! Mommy has already given me two doses today and she thought I seemed better tonight at bedtime! I'm sleeping right now so hopefully I wake up feeling much better tomorrow! You know what they say..."tomorrow is a new and brighter day!"
