Girlfriends and Guys-First Haircut (Before, During & After)

Well today was a BIG day for me....I got my first haircut (Saturday, September 12th, 2009)! Mommy and daddy took me to "Girlfriends and Guys" to have the owner, Denise Andrist, give me my first haircut! Denise is a very sweet lady and mommy and daddy think she did an awesome job...and then when she was done and they tried to pay her, she said "absolutely not, first haircuts are FREE!" What a deal! I'm sure mommy and daddy will make it up to her in the future, especially since Denise cuts mommy's hair too!
This is me and my daddy before Denise started cutting my hair! I wasn't too sure about what was going on at first...

This is when Denise started cutting my hair....I had my trusty bottle and a few toys that Denise keeps on hand (one of which was a Sesame Street toy) so that kept me pretty occupied during the cutting process!

WARNING: My baby curls are gone and I have a big boy haircut in all the pictures below...I promise my mommy has shed enough tears for all of you reading. But I was super proud of her at the salon...she only cried a little there! We were expecting much worse! Hee-hee!

This is me and daddy right after Denise got done cutting my hair! Don't I look so grown-up and sophisticated! This is also me "squinting" for the camera...that is a new facial expression that I've learned to make over the last few days and I do it ALL THE TIME now. Mommy is getting worried that I might need glasses but my daddy assures her that it's just a new face I've learned to make!

Front-view of my new haircut! My mommy says I went from being "adorable" with my baby curls to a very "handsome" little boy with my new "big boy" haircut! Mommy and daddy like my new haircut but they still aren't too sure about me turning into a little boy! Just wait momma and daddy....

When we got home we had to change my shirt because there was hair all over my other shirt. I didn't really want the cape that Denise tried to put on me so we just went without and there was A LOT of hair that is missing from my head.....!!! My mommy thinks this picture of me is precious!

Well this is the finished product! I really like my new haircut and since I'm going to be ONE in a week and a half, I guess my mommy and daddy thought it was time....and maybe now people will stop mistaking me for a girl! I mean, girls are yucky after all!
