Monkey See, Monkey Do

A few evenings ago, mommy, daddy and I were all outside playing and working in the backyard after mommy and daddy got home from work. Daddy was hot and sweaty from cleaning up the back patio (it has been 95 to 100 degrees here for the past week) and decided to come over to my water table and rinse off his face and rinse out his mouth with the water from the water table. Well, when he rinsed out his mouth he spit the water out. It was so awesome!!!! So therefore, I just had to try it out myself! Mommy captured it on video! She says I'm "such a boy!" Well duh mom! Anyway, here's a video of me trying to be like my dad!

Complete Randomness--Some New, Some Old

Hello family and friends! Thanks for visiting my blog. Here are just a few pics, some old & some new, that somehow have not made it onto the blog yet! Most of them were either taken with mommy, daddy or Miss Sarah's cell phones! Hope you all enjoy!
Here I am at Miss Sarah's (Thursday, June 17th, 2010) with some animal crackers. They are having an awesome conversation. I wish you guys could hear what they were talking about, tee-hee! Mommy says I'm not supposed to play with my food, what does she know, animal crackers talking is FUN!
Tuesday evening (June 15th, 2010), mommy, daddy & I went to the park (the bandshell side, because that's the best part of the park, even better than the playground) and played ball! Daddy was being ornery and threw the ball into the fountain! Shame, shame daddy-o! Mommy even gave daddy one of her "looks!" She says that daddy teaches me ornery things! I say "KEEP THE FUN COMING DADDY!"
Here's an oldie but a goodie from Christmas in Missouri with Mee-maw and Pee-paw Chinn! I sure do miss them! Pee-paw is no doubt talking to me about something very important or, like daddy, teaching me something ornery like my daddy does (those daddy's and grandpa's are always teaching me awesome stuff)! But mommy wasn't too worried about this situation because she says that Mee-maw Chinn is there to supervise! :) Oh mom, it will be okay! A boy has got to learn awesome stuff from somewhere, may as well be the men in my life! Right?!?! ;)

Here is another great picture of me and Pee-paw Chinn at Christmas 2009! Pee-paw is always so nice and lets me play with his pocket watch! I just simply LOVE gadgets and clocks and batteries, etc. Anything that has moving parts or that I can take apart and put back together again or as daddy and I like to say "fix it" is alright in my book! Good times to be had by all or just me and my dad!

Last but not least, a picture of me in my trusty wagon from some point this spring! I love the wagon Mee-maw and Pee-paw Chinn got me for Christmas 2009! They are so nice! The best part of this wagon ride, is the "puff" that I got to "blow away" on this evening! I just loved whent the dandelions were seeding and we could pick "puffs" and blow the seeds all over the place! So fun....but I'm not sure the neighbors enjoyed me doing such a thing! Apparently dandelions aren't pretty type flowers! I say, hooey! They look pretty darn good to me!

Aunt Nee Nee Visits & Takes Me To The Park

My mommys friend Whitney "Nee-Nee" came to visit mommy this past week/weekend! And while she was here, her and mommy took me to the park! I think mommy's friend is after my heart! Anybody that wants to take me to/go with to the park is "a-okay" in my book!

"Come on, lets get this show on the road and get over to the park! I have a schedule to keep!

Weeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Off we go....FINALLY!

Ah, runnin' around at the park, especially on the side with the fountain, is one of my favorite things to do!

Havin' so much and laughin' a lot with my mommy and Nee-Nee!

Watchin' the awesome fountain at Sawhill Park with my momma! So cool!

I like to keep mommy on her toes...she's always chasing after me for some reason, I don't know what she thinks I'm up to that she has to chase me around but it sure is funny watchin' her!

Nee-Nee on the piece of playground equipment that we refer to as the "egg-beater!" It spins really fast while you stand on it! Pure insanity!

Judging by the look on Nee-Nee's face, I'm not sure if she's liking this ride or not so I'm not sure I want to try this thing out! Maybe it's okay that I'm not quite big enough to get on it just yet! But it sure was funny watchin' mommy and Nee-Nee do it! Those two are two wild-n-crazy grown ups!

I love all the little pebbles at the park that are used to make a nice area for the playground equipment! I especially like to get handfuls of them and throw them up in the air...it's soooooo funny when I do it because my mom tells me "No-no Gus, we don't throw rocks!" I don't know what this "we" business is because I've never seen her throw any rocks. Just me doin' the rock throwin' 'round here!

The tube slide is awesome! I smile, laugh and giggle everytime I go down it! I usually go down on my stomach, head first but lately I've finally gotten brave enough to sit down on my bottom and go down. I just haven't quite figured out how to stop myself either way so mommy is there to catch me!

There's also this slide at the park!

"Ready, sssssssssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeetttttttt,

gggggooooooooooooo!!!!!!" Sliding is so COOL! Cool is also my new favorite word over the past weekend!

Nee-Nee helped push me while I road in the swing! What a nice gal she is to give me a few pushes and enjoy it (or at least she's smilin' anyway)! Thanks Aunt Nee-Nee, you are "simply the best!"

Mommy also gave me a push or two! I just love swingin'! I love it "ALMOST" as much as slidin'!

Mommy and I had to stop on the way home and "talk" about goin' home in general! I really didn't want to go home and I told my mother that but she didn't really listen to me! She kept saying something about taking a bath, reading some books, havin' some milk and goin' nigh-night!

What a great week and weekend it was this past week/weekend! Good friends, parents and great weather led to a fun weekend for all in the Justin Gardner household (Justin Gardner is my daddy)! Aunt Nee-Nee and mommy had a blast together and so did daddy and I when mommy and Nee-Nee were out and about! Mommy and Nee-Nee went to Denver on Saturday morning and did the site-seeing, shopping and eating of 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver (LoDo) before mommy had to take Nee-Nee to the airport to catch her flight home (I cried for Nee-Nee when they left that morning) to Saint Louis (STL). While they were gone, I spent the day with my daddy and a few hours with my Nammo and Tampaw Gardner. My daddy even gave me a bath and put me to bed Saturday night!

"Ahhhh, nothin' better than takin' a nice, warm bath, gettin' cleaned up for nigh-night. Then, it gets even more relaxing and awesome when daddy put my sports jammies on me with my Elmo socks!" "That's what a guy is talkin' about for bedtime attire!" "Thank you daddy for taking such good care of me while mommy was gone to Denver! I love you!"

I Love Goin' To Miss Sarah's

At the beginning of May, mommy & daddy started sending me to a new place on Thursdays and Fridays while they go to work and I LOVE GOING THERE! It's Miss Sarah's! Miss Sarah is Sarah Kinzer, she is the wife of Deputy Bayne Kinzer, who my mommy works with, and they have two little girls named Taylor and Kenzie! They are like family to me! And mommy loves that Bayne and Sarah take good care of me while I'm there! Mommy says she also really appreciates Miss Sarah because Miss Sarah sends mommy texts messages throughout the day, updating her on what activities we are doing! Miss Sarah also sends lots of picture texts of me!
The pic to the left, I am eating a bowl full of grapes @ Miss Sarah's! GRAPES MAKE ME SO HAPPY THAT I CAN'T HELP BUT SMILE A BIG SMILE!

Miss Sarah said that she could not resist spikin' my hair up into a "faux hawk" and snappin' a pic! I think that I look like a real rebel! Now all I need is some leather and a motorcycle! Or maybe a guitar and my own band?

Up until this weekend it has been HOT outside so Miss Sarah has been taking me swimming with the girls in their backyard! They have a little pool and a slip and slide! I'm not too sure yet but Miss Sarah has a goal to get me to like the pool by the end of summer! My mommy says she bets it won't take that long since I LOVE the water sooooo much and bathtime!

Shoots and Fishies

Greetings everyone! What a fun weekend we had! We went to the store TWICE over the weekend and went and saw Tampa Gardner at his black powder shoot. A good time was had by all and I continue to learn new things everyday! Mommy says that if she doesn't want me to know how to do something, she double checks that I am not watching when she does it because after watching her or daddy, I pick up on things quick! I say, "Mom, aren't I supposed to be learning new things, like opening the front door and basement doors myself? Or how to plug things in?" I just don't know what people want from me sometimes! It is so true, life is so complicated sometimes! Mommy and daddy also say that my vocabulary is coming along very quickly! They are even proud of me because of how well I can speak and that I use a lot of full sentences and I'm only 20 months old!!!!
Last week my daddy went to a doctor in Benkelman, Nebraska to get a 2nd opinion on what's been going on with him for the last 10 months. Since all the other doctors, specialists and such have all tried different things with him and none of them have worked! So the doctor in Benkelman, Dr. Lori, put him on a couple of anti-fungal medications. Apparently he has the symptoms that fit a whole body fungal infection, almost every single symptom. There's a lot more to it but I don't know what it means! I just know that daddy was really sad because he has to cut sugar out of his diet...there goes the ice cream daddy! More for me!!! :) Just kidding! Mommy and I are very hopeful that Dr. Lori is right and that after the 30 day treatment, daddy is feeling much better and back to his old self! Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
Friday night mommy and I loaded up in the van to head out to Goodland to pickup a few things! A guy simply cannot go anywhere without his cheesey poofs and juice...oh and you cannot forget a good movie. May I suggest Finding Nemo or Toy Story, the two best movies ever made!
Saturday at lunchtime, mommy, daddy and I loaded up in the pickup with my lunch and headed out to see Tampa Gardner. He was camping at Beecher Island for a black powder shoot. I had to much fun that I didn't want to leave Tampa (yes, I admit it, I cried for Tampa when we left)! I cannot help it if I like to do manly things with Tampa and with my daddy! I mean, Tampa was campin' and shootin' at stuff...who wouldn't want to do that?

I love Finding Nemo and fishies soooooo much that mommy and daddy decided to get out the aquarium and fill it up. Then we headed to Goodland to pick out some fish! Picking them out was 1/2 the fun (mainly because that meant they let me out of the cart and boy did I make a break for it....I just don't understand why mommy won't let me do my own shopping at the store, instead she makes me sit in this thing called a cart)! Sometimes parents just don't understand!
After my Sunday afternoon nap, this is what I came down the stairs too...MY VERY OWN FISH TANK, COMPLETE WITH FISHIES AND ONE CRAB! It was like Christmas. Now if I can just get daddy to let me feed them myself and mess with stuff in the fish tank, hmmm.....how am I gonna manage that one!
Here are some of the fishies that we got! They are so awesome! Daddy ended up picking out most of them for me! Mommy made me get back in the cart and we headed for the movie section. I guess it is NOT OK to scream and cry in the store! I can't help it if she doesn't understand what I want to do and when I want to do it! Gheesh!

Let Them Eat Cake!!! Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

What a great weekend we had together as a family! Mommy and daddy had THREE days off and we spent them all together, as a family! I can't think of anything much better than that! On Sunday night mommy took me to the park and we played in the bandshell and by the fountain! So much fun!
Here I am climbing the steps to go up onto the bandshell stage! So much FUN to run around and scream and laugh on the stage!
Mommy and I walked around the backside of the bandshell too! Sometimes a guy gets tired though and has to sit down and take a load off for a minute or two!
Daddy was nice enough to share his Orange Crush pop with me one day over the weekend! What a nice guy! I sure have a super swell dad!
"Yes mom, daddy said I could have a drink or two of his Orange Crush! GEEZ!"
Shhhhh....don't tell mommy but it's way more fun to play with the straw and stuff and make a sticky mess than it is to drink the pop! Although it does taste pretty good but a boy has to check this kind of stuff out too!
Friday night, after momma and daddy got off work, we too off for North Platte, Nebraska so we could get out of town one night of the three day weekend and daddy needed a few things for work from Menards! Mommy had some priority points to use at the Holiday Inn so she reserved a suite. The suite even had a HUGE tub in it...I think daddy called a jacuzze? Whatever that means, I just know it was FUN-UN! Mommy, daddy and I all three took a bath at nigh-night time! The TV even swung around so we could finish watching Finding Nemo while we got all cleanded up! Too cool! Then, on Saturday, we went out to lunch at Ruby Tuesday's where I created quite a scene and then we headed over to Menards! What a cool place! I'm still not sure why momma wouldn't let me out of the stroller so I could "help" daddy look at tools and supplies! He would have had an easier time finding the right things a lot faster if they would have let me help! And of course, I had to go with MOM the whole time! HOW BORING! BUT, mommy and I did find this super cool patio set! I loved it and mommy said I just had to have it, I agreed! She also said it was a good deal for only $15! So when we got home momma set it up and I loved it!
Mommy loves this new picture of me posing at my new patio table! I don't know what she means by "posing." I was just sitting in my lawn chair, minding my own business, when she got in my face with that silly camera (like normal) and said "Gussy, say cheese!" I was just doing what she asked of me! But she says that this is a super cute picture and that she loves it! Not too shabby, if I do say so myself!
The umbrella is so neat! It spins! Mommy wonders how long it will be before I fall out of the chair onto the concrete porch! She has not faith that I know what I'm doing!
"See mom, it's okay, I can handle it!" "No one is going to get hurt!"
On the last night of our three day weekend together, we celebrated my daddy's birthday! We had Nammo & Trampal Gardner and Nammo Ruess over for a bbq! Mommy made tater salad, deviled eggs, baked beans and cookies & cake, while daddy grilled boogers! I don't know why anyone would grill "boogers." That is SO GROSS! I think he meant to tell me he was grilling hamburgers! Parents are soooooo silly sometimes! All the food was super yummy but the the best part of the meal, if I do say so myself, was the chocolate birthday cake with cream cheese icing, exactly daddy's favorite cake....good choice daddy-o! I think it may be my favorite cake now too! The picture above is me eating my piece of cake! Yes, I picked up the my entire piece of cake and ate it out of my hand instead of using a fork! What? You do not need a stinkin' fork to enjoy a good piece of cake!
Everyone was laughing while I ate my piece of cake! I have no idea why! They all ate cake and no one laughed at them! Hmmm....but then Nammo and momma got out their cameras so I decided to humor them and just say "cheese" before they even had a chance to ask me to say it! Trampal and daddy were laughing so hard at this point!
After I finished my piece of cake, my hands and mouth were super sticky and dirty so I did what any normal guy would do and wiped my hands all over one of my good shirts! Momma wasn't impressed! I don't understand momma, you always say, "oh well, it will all come out in the wash!" So just put some stain stick on it and it will be all good, I promise! ;) And it sure was fun to eat that piece of cake and be as messy as I wanted to be!
ALL DONE! That cake was so good but later on in the night, while momma was rocking me to sleep, I developed a really bad tummy ache! It was terrible! I kept grabbing my tummy and saying "owie" and screaming! It hurt so bad! I finally got sick to my stomach and then I felt much better! Next time I will try to control how many birthday sweets I eat, especially cake! But it was all worth it in the end!

The video above is me enjoying that wonderful piece of heaven, called birthday cake, that I've been talking about! So good....but you can here all those crazy adults laughing at me while I eat it! I don't understand, but whatever "floats-their-boats" I guess! I guess I'm just an entertaining little fellar! I'm cool with that! I hope everyone had a nice, relaxing Memorial Day weekend and that you got to spend time together as families! I know I sure enjoyed my time with my momma and daddy and with Nammo, Trampal and Nammo Ruess! Also, I very much enjoyed the visit with my Uncle Troy and cousin Julianna! They visited all last week and didn't leave until right after lunch today! Very nice seeing them! Well now I'm out of here and off to bed so I can get my beauty sleep for my life back "in-the-real-world" tomorrow! Hope this finds everyone well and in good spirits and don't forget to thank a soldier for the sacrifices he's made for you and I to live in a land of the free and to remember those soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice for those priviledges as well! Love you all, GusGus

Making New Friends At Miss Sarah's Daycare

My old daycare with Miss Katora closed down at the end of April. Now I go to Tiny Tykes on Monday's, Nammo and Tampal's on Tuesday & Wednesday's and Miss Sarah's on Thursday & Friday's. As always, I enjoy going to Nammo & Tampal's! I could spend everyday with them but I'm also really enjoying going to Tiny Tykes and Miss Sarah's! Tiny Tykes is a little busier than I am use to but it's fun to see all the different kids (there are so many of them) and play with the ones that are the SAME AGE as me! And at Miss Sarah's I get to be the "ladies man!" Miss Sarah keeps her two girls and then two other girls and myself! Miss Sarah texts updates to my mom and dad while I'm at her house like the pictures above and below of me having a good time, playing at her house!
